Anyway, for many gamers who have grown up in the game since childhood, 'inns' will be heard more in RPGs than in accommodations. How is the game of 'Dungeon', which depicts the double-operated inns? I was able to listen to the game more details from the representative of the developer Cat Society.

■ First work of those who dream of a 'cat society' that is good at knowing-'Dungeon' Q. First of all, please introduce a brief introduction to the development team 'Cat Society'.

= We are an indie game studio that registers a business about three years ago and has been developing a dungeon. Although I want to develop a small genre game, it is a little bit of an expression (?), I want to be a small workshop that can knock on the hearts of people.

Currently, I am developing the first title 'Dungeon', the first title of me, wife, and those who worked together in the previous company. We are not developing a dungeon in full time, but we are working together for three days a week while doing different things.

Q. The cat also appeared as a protagonist, but what does the company's name Cat Society mean?

= My wife likes cats (laughs). Black cat chestnuts and cheesean are two butter, and their portraits are used unauthorized and implemented in the game.

Why do you feel that cats live independently? The company's name, Cat Society (cat society), is also inspired here. You'll take care of yourself, so let's respect each other as much as possible and independently. The game to be developed also decided to make the company name because it is not swayed by the trend, but to make what I want to make.

Q. How did you make the 'Dungeon Inin' from BIC 2022?

= There is a close junior who loves board games. I started with an idea.

At first, an adventurer who came to the inn, and a monster who went to work on the dungeon asked me to make a game, but I thought it was a bit strange that the monsters who went to work on the dungeon stayed at the inn. Eventually, after several discussions, the same adventurers were developed into the present form of operating inns.

Q. It's fun to have a 'double operation' between two bad guilds, but was there any difficulty in developing this idea?

= Since I started with the first concept, I needed a variety of devices to express my trust to express the purpose of not being caught by both camps.

As adventurers play the timing of reaching the inn, the gameplay became simple and boring. However, if you increase the number of skills that players can manipulate, the game may not change directly with the game, and it may be complicated, so the contents of the weather, happening, and investigators are devised as elements of variables.

Q. What is the story development of 'Dungeon'? I wonder what the final goal of the game is.

= It is a kind of project presented by an unknown investor to run an inn between two bad guilds. It's so dangerous that no one comes out. The purpose of the game is to start such a project and start with the main character, and successfully complete it for a year.

In the game, it is explained as 'he', and when you run the inn, you often have to return some of the investment. Finally, proving that it has achieved higher results compared to the investment, we are catching the big trend of the entire gameplay.

Has Q. If so, how much is the total number of stages in the game?

= First, we aim to tell the four stages into one theme, to deliver a big story of the theme. One stage flows in units a week, and the four stages are soon in the game. We are preparing to capture a total of a year with 12 big themes.

My wife is in charge of graphics as the main, and I have a lot of greed for solving ideas that cannot be expressed in the background. As the background changes, I plan to add gimmicks for the weather. So we aim to complete a total of 48 stages.

Q. As far as I have demonstrated, there are four types of things that can be placed on the approaching road. I wonder if you have a plan to add skills to be placed.

= Basically, we plan to provide the four skills shown in the demonstration. What is currently developing is to add a system to deploy four main characters who operate the inn as the head of the department of each inn. Each character appointed as the head of the department will add strategic elements to showcase their unique skills on the stage.

Q. During the 48 stages, I think the difficulty will also rise naturally. Which part will change gradually?

= First of all, if the number of guests coming, I think that the difficulty will naturally rise. In the form of adventurers who are not coming into the inn, but a guest who should not come in. And the better you are operating the inn, the more reputation is, and you plan to affect the number of adventurers appearing as the inns grow.

In addition, I try to adjust the difficulty by adding more variables such as weather and happening. In the beginning, happening occurs around the options that are beneficial to the innings, and the more I play the game, the more I want to hold the vague options that are hard to know whether it is beneficial or loss. I think it will be able to increase the difficulty even if there is a lot of trouble.

Q. No matter how good you are, you can see two guild members. The idea of solving this in battle was also impressive.

= In the process of checking whether the game we envisioned is actually fun, I cut the paper and put it on it. But no matter how hard I worked, I had to worry about the situation where both adventurers met.

In this case, the player needs to be able to intervene as much as possible, and a lot of discussions and coordination were needed about where the right of intervention was drawn. Once I focused on the battle, the battle was more outstanding than the basic gameplay that managed the risk.

After that, the opinions were gathered to relieve the battle-related part as simple as possible, and it was applied to the game (game).

Q. How do you spend your money?

= Basically, you can use funds to invest in inns. We need to provide a feeling of growth while clearing 48 stages, and we want to check it through the growth of the inn.

There are also a few types of adventurers with individual animation now, but in the future, other adventurers will find inns. High class adventurers only appear only when specific facilities are added to the inn, and we want to develop it in the form of consuming goods to prepare.

In addition, goods are needed to resolve certain happening or repay the intermediate investment. It would be more important to run the inn well.

Q. I am curious about the development of 'Dungeon In'.

= System I think that I have built a lot of parts. The basic logic was completed, and the game was designed to make it easier to add content by taking advantage of its long experience in the game company that had been working on live service. Through this exhibition, we will meet those who sympathize with the fun factors we want to talk about, and we will be able to speed up content development in the future.

If you look at the total volume, you can only say that you only finished 10-20%, but the really important things are almost 50%of the development. The current plan is to launch Steam Early Access in May next year, and it is planned.
