For the launch of Gran Turismo 7 we looked at the versions for PS5 and PS4 once more precisely and special focus on graphics differences of the two console generations. In addition, we also take the frame rate of the simulation under the magnifying glass. Although the PS5 version offers two graphics modes , they have no influence on the gameplay. More in this you will learn in the video we have integrated below.
- Stable 60 fps in the race on PS5 and PS4
- Gran Turismo 7 with raytracing on PS5
- Charging times thanks to SSD much faster
Stable 60 fps in the race on PS5 and PS4
The Team of Polyphony Digital offers a frame rate of 60 fps in both versions of Gran Turismo 7, if you are on the route on the way. The resolution of the PS5 is 4k \ - on the PS4 the makers for 1080p have decided. If you want to watch the repetition of your race, the frame rate on PS4 is only 30 fps . In the PS5 version it depends on your choice of graphic mode.
Gran Turismo 7 with raytracing on PS5
If you have opted for the RayTracing mode in the settings, the replays are also played here with 30 fps . For this you get RayTracing reflections to see in the repetition. In the gameplay itself, the developers refrain from the new feature. Away from the route, Raytracing is still used in the presentation of the vehicles and photomodes. If you choose the other graphics mode, the replays are also in 60 fps .
Charging times thanks to SSD much faster
Another advantage of the PS5 version, which we also present in the video, are the loading times of the racing simulation. Thanks to the built-in SSD The Next-Gen Console of Sony, players only have to wait a few seconds until the route is loaded. Our Test to Gran Turismo 7 (Buy Now) can be found on our website.
