Make a game that is inspired by a reference work is not enough for some fans. This is not the first time it happens, but the middle of the Fanfare sees a project called Mother 4, a perfectly unofficial successor of the cagiest Ito.
Support trailer, a group of enthusiasts has thus put in mind to produce an RPG by borrowing the title of the brand owned by Nintendo. The various not liability notices explaining that Mother 4 is an amateur project whose authors have no connection with Shiest IOI, Hal or Nintendo, will they suffice to escape the radar of the manufacturer? The creators of the project feel that yes. We are independent developers who work on the game during our free time, can we read on their site. No exit window is announced but Mother 4, if it actually sees it, would only come out on Windows, Mac and Linux. The communication on the progress of the project will be on this Twitter account.
Note that the previous Fanfare borrowed the title of Mother 4 had ended up changing the name to become Odd. However, the latter did not really give a sign of life for a year. Recall that those who want to discover the series can do it with the English translations of Earthbound Beginnings (Virtual Console Wii U) and Earthbound (Virtual Console Wii U, 3DS Virtual Console, Super Nintendo Classic Mini). Out of 2006 on Game Boy Advance, Mother 3 has not been translated by Nintendo.
